You won’t need to be at the Sydney Opera House on 10 March to experience All About Women, the preeminent festival on gender.

Shellharbour City Library will be live streaming a free headline session and an exclusive backstage Q&A from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

Now in its seventh year, the All About Women festival celebrates International Women's Day with a full day of discussions and events.

The event is designed to be thought provoking and informative, focusing on issues surrounding gender, justice and equality.

All About Women will feature emerging new voices from around the world, speaking to future directions in feminism. #MeToo, Year Two will be explored between 1.15pm to 2.30pm, with speakers Emily Steel, Sohaila Abdulali, Tina Tchen and hosted by Lenore Taylor.

From 2.30pm to 3pm, watch an exclusive backstage interview with speaker Emily Steel, conducted by Edwina Throsby, Head of Talks and Ideas, Sydney Opera House.

Shellharbour City Mayor Marianne Saliba said she was proud that the city was hosting the event free.

“This is a fantastic opportunity people of all ages to be part of this festival and learn more about the Australian and global issues affecting women,” Cr Saliba said.

“This event is particularly relevant to our Council as we have a female Mayor and almost 50 per cent of our staff are women,” she said.
