Book launch at City Library - first of 'evening author' events

26/03/2018

Local author Gregory Wayne Cooper will launch his new book The Chronicles of Anjou Book 2: A journey to paradise and beyond at Shellharbour City Library on Wednesday 28 March at 6.30pm.

The launch is the first of the ‘Evening Author’ talks that will be held at the library. Mr Cooper has written a series of five books: The Chronicles of Anjou (The Archer and the Monk Sagas).

The first in the series - The Chronicles of Anjou Book 1: To the Lands of the Languedoc: France and Iberia - was enthusiastically received last year. Readers were taken on a mysterious journey, through medieval Christian France and Spain as the quest for lost knowledge brings with it great danger, murder, intrigue, compassion and love.

Mr Cooper will talk about Book 1 and then Book 2, as the quest for lost knowledge continues.

The rich texture of the characters leap from the historical backdrop and help to bring medieval history to life.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said she was excited about the new ‘Evening Author’ talks that would be featuring in the library.

“The design and size of our library perfectly lends itself to events such as these. I’m looking forward to attending and getting to know more about the author and his work,” Cr Saliba said.

The event is free and light refreshments will be provided.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.
