Shellharbour City Libraries have teamed up with WEA Illawarra to host a variety of creative, leisure and technology based workshops starting in February.

Courses provided at the new City Library in February include an introduction to Feng Shui, clutter clearing, pastel drawing, Dru yoga, macramé, and Tech Savvy seniors’ sessions, computer and internet training for 60+.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said programs like these contributed to building strong communities through individuals achieving their potential using inclusive and accessible libraries.

“Shellharbour City Libraries and WEA Illawarra, part of the Community College network, are dedicated to providing opportunities for the community to participate in learning courses and workshops,” Cr Saliba said.

“Our new library will be the centre of a whole host of exciting and innovative learning and cultural activities such as these,” she said.

In celebration of this partnership, WEA is offering a special introductory offer where people can enrol one student at full price and bring a friend free (offer not applicable to Tech Savvy Senior Training). For a full list of workshops, visit weaillawarra.com.au/courses or call 4226 1622.
