Upcoming Shellharbour City Business Network Meeting


Local business trends and forecasts are the focus of the next Shellharbour City Business Network meeting on Wednesday 15 November.

Peter Watts and Nicholas Beale from IRIS Research, will provide an overview of the Australian and Illawarra economies and the economic outlook for Illawarra and Shellharbour looking forward to 2018.

Hosted by Shellharbour City Council, the meeting will cover business trends and possible opportunities, especially for small business.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said both Mr Watts and Mr Beale would provide valuable information to Business Network members at this month’s meeting.

“Mr Watts has extensive experience in market and business research and has consulted to a broad range of enterprises regarding operational management and strategic growth.

“He also has an intimate knowledge of the business environment in the Illawarra, having provided management consulting advice to a large portfolio of SMEs in the region to improve their productivity and profitability,” Cr Saliba said.

“In addition, Mr Beale is a specialist in quantitative research and analysis that informs a variety of IRIS reports and publications. The local business environment is an ever-changing landscape that can provide significant opportunities for business growth.

“This is an ideal opportunity to gather information from an expert to begin your business planning for 2018,” she said.

The meeting will be held in The Emerald Room at Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Finger food will be provided.
