Shell Cove is much more than a large housing estate, much more than a suburb, it is becoming a unique and very different community. The wonderful setting, the meticulous planning, the attention to detail – all these make it special. Perhaps more important though, is the care that has been taken to ensure that the proposed residential and recreational areas blend in with and enhance what is, after all, the most desirable feature of Shellharbour – its natural beauty and tranquillity.

A wide range of community facilities are proposed to ensure appropriate support is available to the existing and future resident’s.

These facilities include a community centre, extensive open space networks, pedestrian/cycle ways throughout the estate, retail/commercial district (village centre) primary and pre-schools.

To ensure that facilities are available at an early stage a temporary community centre and corner store have been provided. Also in recent times a new Primary School and three pre-schools have been established.
