Local Government Week – August 2014

As part of Local Government Week 2014 Shellharbour City Council will be hosting the Annual Your Council Showcase and we have invited all of the schools in the Shellharbour LGA.

The concept of the day is to showcase the services Council provides and, in particular, what it has to offer for school aged children.

The overall idea is to have a number of bases running activities and have the children rotating between the activities. The activities will run for approximately 25 mins and each school will do three different activities. The event is open to children from kindergarten through to high school and to cater for this we will organise age appropriate activities. We will also be providing a free sausage sizzle.

Activities may include: Environmental Workshops, Waste Education, Museum - Archaeological Dig, Puppet Show, Interactive story telling session, Road Safety, Juggling Workshops, Youth Services Activities, Bush walks and Council jobs.

Please contact Council for further information on 4221 6111.
