NAIDOC Art Exhibition
An exhibition of Aboriginal art works will be on display at the Shellharbour Village Exhibition Space. This will be launched as part of the Reconciliation Civic Ceremony on Monday 27 May at 10am. Opening hours will be 10am to 3.00pm during the exhibition period.

2013 Reconciliation event
The event will include the Reconciliation School Flag Walk from Pioneer Park to Roo Theatre at 9am, official ceremony and exchanging of the flags, announcement of winner of the Reconciliation writing competition, bbq lunch and entertainment at Little Park, Shellharbour Village.

Shellharbour and Kiama Interagency

The Shellharbour and Kiama Interagency provides a great opportunity for government agencies, community based organisations and interest groups to build relationships and work collaboratively to improve outcomes for the Shellharbour and Kiama communities.

The interagency is held on the second Thursday of every second month from 1pm - 2.30pm. Come and take the '10 minute presenter challenge' to showcase your service or project, pitch a project idea, share your skills or simply get involved in the speed networking group sessions.

This meeting will be held on Thursday 13 June at Stocklands Shellharbour.

8 July

NAIDOC Week Launch

At 11am Shellharbour City, in front of Council Chambers we will commemorate NAIDOC Week with a Flag Raising ceremony and a celebration of Bass Point Reserve becoming registered on the State Heritage Register that will include entertainment and morning tea.

12 July

Bring your band out of the garage and onto the stage, and be part of the 2nd annual youth concert to be held on Friday, July 12 between 3pm and 10pm at Centenary Hall, Albion Park.

13 July

Regional Local Government NAIDOC Awards Dinner.

This 3rd annual NAIDOC Awards event will be hosted by Wollongong City Council in partnership with Wingecarribee, Wollongong, Kiama and Shoalhaven Councils.

Parent Services Interagency

Service providers for families and children meet quarterly to network and share information. Meetings go for two hours and are held in a variety of venues from 1pm-3pm. For more information contact Council's Community Development Officer on 4221 6170.

This meeting will be held on Wednesday 14 August.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday 13 November.

The 2013 Illawarra and South Coast Youth Services Conference Organising Committee are calling for Expressions of Interest to present workshops at the 2013 Conference scheduled for late October early November 2013.
