Project Outcome: To renew our aging network of public amenity buildings

About the Project:

Each year, Council allocates asset renewal funds for the renewal of our aging public amenity buildings.  The new public amenity facilities will incorporate accessible design considerations, improved lighting and be of improved aesthetic. 

As part of the 2022/23 Capital Program, the following public amenities will be renewed & upgraded:

  • Dawes Park, Barrack Point
    • The renewal of this facility will be delivered in 2022.  
  • Boonerah Point, Mount Warrigal
    • The construction phase of this project has been on-hold whilst an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHA) is undertaken.  The ACHA is now nearing completion and so construction is forecast to be completed in 2023.
  • Shellharbour Cemetery, Shellharbour
    • Design phase to be delivered in 2022/23.
