Councillor Nathan Cattell

I have a passion for the community and will do my very best to serve residents’ needs. I have 16 years’ experience in environmental and public asset management. I’m currently manager of Killalea State Park and previously worked for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. My goal is to ensure that public space is used by the whole community in a sustainable and appropriate way.

My vision for Shellharbour City is to see it flourish and grow into a well-managed tourist destination while growing employment through the development and enhancement of Shellharbour City Council’s assets. The Albion Park Regional Airport is the key to unlocking visitation to our pristine coastal environments and our thriving city to Australia and the world.

Throughout my term I want to see the Albion Park Rail Bypass well underway to assist the community with their commute to and from work while providing opportunity for further industry to be developed within the Albion Park Regional Airport. I’d like to create economic growth through employment and business investment to coincide with existing operations.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the completion of the feasibility study regarding the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and a substantive plan to take to the community.
