Board Hoarders #3

In partnership with Verb Syndicate, Council is delighted to present the 3rd instalment of local collector Callum Crinis' epic skate/art exhibition.

From punk protest to fine expressionism, skateboarders have long taken to graphic art in order to make their mark on the world around them. While the shapes vary and the mediums multiply, this unique, self-generated form of folk-art found its home out on the streets, stacked in garages, stuck on walls or left in backyard bowls to be redefined, reshaped and ultimately respected in the mainstream over time.

Board Hoarders #3 is an exhibition celebrating the art of skateboarding and the collectors who traverse the earth to uncover it. Held as part of Shellharbour’s Surf and Skate Festival and kicking off on Friday 29 November at the Shellharbour Civic Centre, Board Hoarders #3 features local South Coast collector Callum Crinis and his prized selection of original 80s boards, as well as additional shapes and styles originating from the 90s and 2000s. Boards will be available for purchase at the event.

This FREE exhibition will be presented at the Shellharbour Civic Centre as a key component of the Surf and Skate Festival.

Boards are also available for purchase.
