Pay your rates

There are several ways to pay your rates, including online, BPAY, Australia Post, by phone or in person at Council. You will need your Property ID Number which can be found on the top right hand side of your Rate Notice.

 

Online payments

More flexibility. Less stress. Pay your rates your way.

 

Pay your rates quickly and securely online with Payble using either a card or bank account, or choose another payment method that suits you.

With our online portal you can:

  • Choose weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly payments
  • Select a payment day that suits you
  • Pay by bank account or credit/debit card
  • View payment amounts needed to meet your due date
  • Manage your payment preferences online

Existing direct debit customers will receive information about transitioning to the new system.

PAY ONLINE 

 

 

Other payment methods include:

  • BPAY - Use BPAY through your bank using the biller code and reference number on your current rates notice.
  • Australia Post - Take your rates notice to any Australia Post Office to pay be cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card. 
  • In person - Pay at Council’s Customer Service Centre during business hours. We are located at Shellharbour Civic Centre, 76 Cygnet Avenue, Shellharbour City Centre, and open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Payment timing

Rates can be paid:

  • In full, or
  • In quarterly instalments (see your rates notice for due dates)

How do I update my details?

If you have recently changed address, please complete and return a change of address application form.

Alternatively, you can email council@shellharbour.nsw.gov.au with your full name, the ownership details, the property address, and the new postal address .
