Council meets on a regular basis, usually every three weeks on a Tuesday. Ordinary Council meetings are open to the public and are held in the Shellharbour Civic Centre Council Chambers, 76 Cygnet Avenue, Shellharbour City Centre (unless otherwise determined).
Business papers for Council meetings are available from the Friday before each meeting at our administration centre, libraries and below.
You can register to address the Council by following the Code of Meeting Practice for Addresses to Council. Remember, it's important to have your say!
Addresses to Council are heard from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on the day of the meeting. If you wish to address Council on items in the agenda please register to do so by calling 4221 6111 or in person at Council’s Administration Centre until 10.00am on the day of the meeting.
Child care is available to primary caregivers requiring care for children aged between six weeks and 12 years of age to enable them to attend Council meetings and Addresses to Council. Bookings are essential and families must be enrolled with Shellharbour / Kiama Family Day Care (SKFDC) to access the service. Please phone 4221 6111 to register for childcare by 12.00pm on the Friday before the meeting.
Business papers and minutes for meetings prior to 2015 can be obtained under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 by completing an informal access application. In most cases, documents can be provided in hard copy or electronically.
