About the Incubator Artist Residency

Incubator is a short-term residency program based at The Imaginarium, a creative space in Shellharbour Village. It provides emerging artists with the dedicated space and time to cultivate new work, explore ideas and develop their practice.

Incubator residencies will run for four weeks and are open to artists and creative practitioners working in any form. Artists will receive exclusive access to The Imaginarium during the residency period and a $5000 stipend toward artist fees and material costs.

Hear from Stephanie Quirk our recent incubator artist resident and her creative experience during her residency. Check back soon to see which artist is coming next or for future opportunities!

Introducing our Incubator Artist in Residence Tammie Castles

We're delighted to welcome local artist Tammie Castle into the Imaginarium for the Incubator Artist Residency for the duration 7 April to 4 May.

Tammie Castles is an educator and artist from Dharawal Country - Oak Flats NSW. She's a graduate of the National Art School, and specialised in drawing and sculpture. Her work revolves around the concept of home and place, the history and memories that it holds and the collective space that we share.

Over the last few years Tammie has shifted her focus into the field of ceramics to combine her drawing practice into functional pieces.

Members of the public are welcome to drop into the Imaginarium during Tammie’s residence from 7 April to 4 May to say hello and observe her art in progress.

Tammie will also be facilitating a Drawing workshop on Saturday 3 May, 9.30am-12.30pm. Purchase tickets HERE.
