25 - 29 May | Grief is a Collage with Rebekah Lambert

Join writer, end-of-life worker and expressive arts practitioner Rebekah Lambert in her week-long creative exploration of life before and after loss. Rebekah will embody the role of grief itself — holding space, listening, guiding and making alongside everyone who enters the room.
This creative project recognises that grief is not limited to the loss of people. After bushfires, Covid, lockdowns and the ongoing pressures of economic uncertainty, many people are grieving certainty, routine and past versions of ourselves.
During various opening hours, visitors are encouraged to bring photos, objects, words, unfinished sentences, scents and sounds that will grow into a living art piece. Visitors are encouraged to keep an eye on Rebekah’s website to find out details how to participate via drop-ins, workshops and community making sessions.

29 May | Crying Contralto with Alison Eaton

For the first time ever, The Imaginarium transforms into an intimate cabaret‑style venue — and you’re invited to experience it up close.

Fresh from the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Alison Eaton: Crying Contralto arrives with an offbeat, gloriously unpolished performance that blends music and theatrical mischief in a space that feels raw, honest and deeply human — in the best and messiest way.

Chanteuse. Clown. Crier. Alison Eaton sings crying songs… or songs crying. Her contralto fuses jazz standards, vintage pop, antics and tissues in a cabaret for all the criers out there. Gentle and thoughtful, it will have you cry ’til you laugh or laugh ’til you cry.

If you cry at sad movies.
If you cry in public.
If you cry when you’re sad or happy, cry at beauty, cry for any occasion — or cry in the mirror just because…

This show is for you.
