Healthy Ageing Strategy

Our Healthy Ageing Strategy helps us provide an accessible and positive environment that encourages and supports the participation of older people. We want our city to continue to be a great place to age, where older adults can stay healthy, active and engaged.

Healthy End of Life Short Films

Four local residents tell their stories about their experiences with end of life, death and dying and how these experiences have enriched and added to the way they view and live life.

The films were launched on 10 August 2022 as a Dying to Know Day initiative.

We are grateful to the people who shared their stories and experiences as part of this project.

Debra's Story

The films were developed as part of the Healthy End of Life Project (HELP).

HELP was a six month demonstration project provided in partnership with La Trobe University and Palliative Care NSW, funded by South Eastern NSW PHN (COORDINARE) to explore how the end of life might be incorporated into local government policy, planning and practice.
