Funding: This project is funded by the Transport for NSW Black Spot Program, and the project is planned to have the design completed this year and construction in the next financial year.
About the Project:
Council is proposing to construct a roundabout at the Intersection of Leawarra Avenue and Ulster Avenue as we have identified that the crossings between Leawarra and Ulster Avenue are prone to accidents due to its current high traffic density.
The project will also include road renewal works and aims to reduce vehicle speeds and will enhance the safety of pedestrians and adjacent school kids.
Detailed Timeline:
- Milestone 1: Preliminary Investigation (complete)
- Milestone 2: Detailed Design and Traffic Committe Approval (Early April)
- Milestone 3 – Utility Service Protection Approvals (End of June)
- Milestone 3 – Engagement of Contractor (End of August)
- Milestone 4 – Practical Completion (End of October)
