About the Project:
Shellharbour City Council is planning to replace the existing jetty at Boonerah Point Reserve with a new structure designed to meet modern standards and community needs.
The current jetty is ageing and reaching the end of its service life. Replacing it will provide a safer, more reliable and accessible facility for residents and visitors, helping people continue to enjoy fishing, boating and other recreational activities for years to come.
The new jetty will be designed using contemporary materials and engineering standards to improve durability and reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
Council is currently progressing the detailed design of the new Boonerah Point Jetty.
Environmental and geotechnical investigations have been completed to inform the design and environmental assessment of the proposed jetty replacement.
The detailed design process will help finalise the jetty's layout, structure and construction requirements. Once the design is complete, the project will progress towards tendering and construction.
