About Wilma
Wilma is a lovely black-and-white dog who is looking for her forever home. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience, trust, and love, she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. Wilma is dog-friendly and gets along well with dogs of a similar size. She loves to play, zoom around, and enjoys enrichment activities like using her Kong and learning how to fetch. She has a playful personality and often turns everyday moments into something fun and silly.
She is currently building confidence in a few areas. Wilma can be hesitant about returning to her kennel, but she is very food-motivated, and positive reinforcement (such as scatter feeding and Kong rewards) helps her feel comfortable and secure. Wilma can also be unsure on the leash and may refuse to walk outside of her familiar environment. She is comfortable in enclosed yards but will need a patient, understanding adopter willing to continue helping her build confidence with leash walking at her own pace.
Wilma plays well with her siblings and would thrive in a home that can offer her gentle guidance, consistency, and plenty of love as she continues to grow in confidence. With the right home, Wilma will make a loyal and joyful companion.
