About Frankie
Frankie is a Dachshund cross with a sweet nature and an independent streak. He enjoys the company of smaller, gentle dogs and has previously gotten along well with calm companions. He would be best suited to a home with similar-sized or relaxed canine friends, with slow, supervised introductions if other dogs are present.
Frankie is a food-loving boy who is highly motivated by treats and responds well to positive reinforcement. He returns nicely to his kennel for food rewards and is generally quiet and well-mannered in that space. He also appreciates his comforts, especially a nice cosy bed to relax in. He is learning his basic manners, already knows how to sit, and is gradually building on other commands. Frankie has been confident walking on a slip lead within enclosed yard areas.
Frankie has an independent personality and is happy doing his own thing, but he also enjoys affection and will happily cuddle once he feels comfortable. He may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with patience and time, he shows his gentle and loving side.
Frankie would thrive in a calm, understanding home that can continue to support his development while respecting his nature. With the right match, Frankie will make a loyal and affectionate companion.
