Speeding and Road Safety

Enforcing speeding rules is managed by NSW Police. To report a speeding issue call the Police Assistance Line 131 444, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Speeding and hooning reports can also be submitted through a ‘Dob in a Hoon’ request or general enquiries can be made using this form.

Pothole Damage

Potholes and other road defects can appear suddenly, especially after heavy rain. Under Section 45(1) of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW), councils are not liable for damage caused by such defects unless they had actual knowledge of the specific defect and failed to take action within a reasonable timeframe and within the resources available to them.
