Shellharbour City Council is calling for expressions of interest from young makers and creators aged 12 to 24 for the upcoming Civic Centre Market.

The annual market aims to showcase and support Shellharbour’s talented young people and will be held during Youth Week on Saturday 17 April at the Shellharbour Civic Centre from 11am to 2pm.

Previously titled Shellharbour City Youth Market, the market’s new name was chosen to encourage people of all ages to come along and enjoy.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said the event was a great opportunity for young creatives and entrepreneurs to share their talents with the community and contribute to the local economy.

“Each year the market continues to grow and bring people from across the city together to celebrate the colourful array of skills and individual flair in our young community,” Cr Saliba said.

“The stalls can be used to sell a range of goods, or can also be used as a platform to promote or share something with the wider public,” she said.
