“The Seniors Festival is a wonderful way to celebrate our seniors and let them enjoy some great activities around the City,” Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer Said.

“We want to keep seniors connected to the community and continue to offer these valuable opportunities to try new activities, learn new skills and discover new passions.”

“Most importantly, the festival is about having fun and I encourage local seniors to get involved and enjoy themselves.”

Exciting physical activities include Pickleball days at Shellharbour City Stadium, bush dancing, a concert at Wongawilli Community Hall, boxing, and seniors can swim for free at Shellharbour Council pools throughout the festival period.

There are also sessions about living with chronic pain, stability and fall prevention, tech help, digital health skills and eSafety for scam prevention.

Other activities include a behind the scenes tour of Shellharbour Airport, Flying into History at Hars Aviation Museum, Shellharbour Vs Kiama Trivia Challenge, Bushcare planting day, Knitters Trail Exhibition and board game days.

The full program of events booklet is available from Shellharbour Civic Centre and Shellharbour Libraries (Shellharbour City, Shellharbour Village, Warilla, Albion Park and Oak Flats), plus other locations including The Links Golf Club, various retirement homes, cafes, bowling and recreation clubs, Aboriginal community groups, newsagencies, and medical centres.
