Release

Shellharbour City Libraries has started a click and collect service for library members in the Shellharbour LGA.

The service is free and offers contactless collection for books and items from the library with scheduled times to collect orders.

Members are able to order, reserve, and borrow items online through the library website, which will be packed and prepared by library staff for collection at pick-up locations.

Pick-up locations include the City Library, Warilla Library, Albion Park Library, Oak Flats Library, and Shellharbour Village Library.

Library members are able to borrow up to twenty items, with a loan period of three weeks. Returns are available at any time through return chutes at City Library, Warilla Library, and Oak Flats Library.

Although libraries are temporarily closed, residents are still able to join the library by applying online.

Shellharbour City Mayor Councillor Marianne Saliba said she was happy that the community could once again access hardcopy resources from Council’s libraries.

“I know that our community has missed being able to borrow books and other resources. It is wonderful that we can provide this option again.

“Library staff are happy to help and are still available to provide book recommendations and services over the phone”.
