Join us in Shellharbour Village for a day of surfing, skating, music and more!

Grab your mates and your boards, Shellharbour Rocks is rolling into Shellharbour Village on Saturday 19 November for an epic surf, skate and music festival!

The FREE family-friendly festival will feature a line-up of local and nationally recognised rock, indie and acoustic musicians; a surf competition showcasing some of the South Coasts’ best surfing talent; a skate competition and workshop; and art activations.

The South Coast Boardriders Competition will kick off from 7am at Shellharbour North Beach with team challenges and individual heats accompanied by a DJ set, prizes and fundraising.

Skate enthusiasts of all skill levels will be able to head over to Shellharbour Skate Park to pick up some new tricks at the community skate workshop and there will also be a mini skate competition.

Located right on the harbour, the main stage will feature the feel good, rock n roll energy of headline act Pacific Avenue, as well as performances from Mimi The Desert Pearl, Benji and the Saltwater Soundsystem, Bronte Alva and more.

Festival attendees will be able to wander down Addison Street to find local emerging artists and pop-in to The Imaginarium to catch an exhibition from artist in residence Clare O’Toole. Kids will also be able to join in the fun with an interactive nature art tent run by Wildhood Bush Kindy.

Plus, get ready to boogie into the evening at the Ocean Beach Hotel with a line-up of local Illawarra bands ready to rock your socks off.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said the festival reflected the laidback lifestyle of the town centre.

“Surfing and skate culture is such a big part of our community and I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful coastal town of Shellharbour Village celebrating this with Shellharbour Rocks the Village,” he said.

Shellharbour Rocks is the largest community music and arts festival series Shellharbour City Council has ever produced.
