Release

Shellharbour City Council will be hosting a free twilight concert this Australia Day at Reddall Reserve.

Symphony by the Sea will be held on Wednesday 26 January 2022 featuring the Sydney Youth Orchestra.

The concert will have soothing sounds, sunset skies and spectacular views of Lake Illawarra.

The Sydney Youth Orchestra was founded in 1973 and is a 40 piece set of young musicians aged 6-24 years.

The community is encouraged to pack a picnic or purchase dinner from one of the on-site food trucks. There will be pizza, fresh donuts, ice cream and Amigos Mexican available.

The twilight concert is an alcohol-free event and suitable for all ages.

Shellharbour City Council CEO, Mr Carey McIntyre, said that this was a rare event and would be a wonderful way to wind-down Australia Day in Shellharbour City.
“I hope the community can attend, to experience the magical sounds and skills of these talented young performers,” Mr McIntyre said.

Shellharbour City Council would like to thank McDonalds Warilla for sponsoring this event.
