Shellharbour City Council is asking for community feedback on upgrades to Yellow Rock Road at Albion Park.

The upgrades are aimed at enhancing safety and improving pedestrian access in the Shellharbour City’s growing western suburbs.

The road is located off the Illawarra Highway and provides access to homes in the suburbs of Tullimbar and Yellow Rock. Proposed changes include:

  • Widening of lanes
  • Provision of better on-street parking
  • Shared path connections & crossing facilities
  • Intersection upgrades
  • Kerb & gutter and stormwater drainage
  • Linemarking and signposting

Shellharbour City Council CEO Carey McIntyre said that community consultation would be undertaken across various stages of the upgrade.

“Community consultation is always a vital part of Council’s planning processes. I encourage residents to visit our Let’s Chat page for more information and to provide feedback,” Mr McIntyre said.
