International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD)

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day held on 3 December each year. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

Each year council produces a Celebration of Ability Calendar that promotes events held in recognition of IDPWD across the Illawarra/Shoalhaven.
