Held at the Shellharbour Civic Centre on Monday 7 July from 10.30am to 1.30pm, the free, family-friendly event is part of NAIDOC Week 2025, which runs from 6–13 July under the theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.

This year’s theme acknowledges the strength and legacy of past generations, while recognising the emerging voices shaping the future.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer encouraged people of all ages to join in.

“NAIDOC Community Day is more than just a celebration, it’s a chance to reflect on the legacy of those who came before us and support the next generation as they carry culture forward,” Mayor Homer said.

“I encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the activities and be part of a day that celebrates strength, shares vision and builds lasting connections.”

The event will feature live music, an art exhibition, and a range of interactive cultural experiences. Children can get hands-on with craft workshops and explore creative activities designed to inspire and engage.
