EATS AND BEATS ALBION PARK POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER IMPACTS

Shellharbour City Council has made the difficult decision to postpone the Winter edition of Eats and Beats, which was scheduled to take place this Saturday 5 July in Albion Park.

Severe weather currently affecting the region has already impacted preparations for the event. Heavy rain and strong winds have made it unsafe for the events team and contractors to begin setting up on-site.

Mayor Chris Homer said, “While Saturday’s forecast is looking more promising, the current weather conditions mean we cannot safely proceed with set-up. Events like Eats and Beats take days to prepare and rely on dry conditions for the safety of stallholders, contractors, performers and of course our community.”

“By postponing now, we can give stallholders, performers and local businesses as much notice as possible and ensure we deliver a high-quality event when conditions are right.”

Council thanks the community and event partners for their understanding and support during this time.

A new date for the Eats and Beats in Albion Park is being finalised and will be announced soon.

Updates will be shared at shellharbourevents.com.au/eatsandbeats and across Council’s social media channels.
