About the nursery

Open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.45pm

Our nursery was established more than 30 years ago to provide plant and tree stock required for maintaining the city's parks, reserves and open spaces. The business has supplied landscapers and the community with quantities of plants at wholesale prices and two years ago, began supplying plants as a retail outlet to the general public.

Supporting our local community

Each year Council donates more than 1700 plants to schools and community groups and propagates 5,000 plants from seed collected from local indigenous plants for bush regeneration projects and Council Bushcare Groups and volunteers.

We encourage work experience students and volunteering with our Bushcare Groups.  Work experience students can get involved in most aspects of plant production and nursery maintenance.  We have a work placement program with Peterborough School where students come to the nursery and propagate plants for two hours once a week with their carer.
