New Vistor Guide out now
Shellharbour City Council is excited to launch the Shellharbour Visitors Guide for 2025.
The new guide makes it easy for everyone to explore the amazing places, fun activities, and great food our beautiful coastal region has to offer.

The guide is packed with ideas on what to see and do, whether you’re visiting for the first time, have lived here for years, or have visiting friends and family. It highlights our beautiful beaches, scenic walking trails, vibrant local events, and best spots to eat – giving you plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy Shellharbour.
Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer shared his excitement about the new guide.
“We’re proud to share this new Visitor Guide. It's filled with the best of Shellharbour, helping both visitors and locals discover new adventures,” he said.
“Whether you’re grabbing fish and chips by the beach, hiking through our beautiful bushland, or discovering local history, there’s something special here for everyone to enjoy.”
What you’ll find in the Shellharbour Visitor Guide:
- Beaches and Walks: Discover the pristine beaches, hidden waterfalls and coastal walks that make Shellharbour a perfect destination for nature lovers.
- Local Events: From cool art shows, thrilling air displays, live music gigs, and epic mountain biking events, there’s always something happening.
- Dining and Shopping: Explore the best local eateries and boutique shopping experiences that Shellharbour has to offer.
- Family Activities: Enjoy family-friendly attractions like the Illawarra Light Railway Museum and the HARS Aviation Museum.
- Outdoor Adventures: Find the best spots for hiking, cycling, and water sports.
The guide is available as a printed magazine and online, so everyone can access it easily.
