Free things to do this Summer in Shellharbour 

Whether you have children on school holidays, friends visiting, or relatives staying with you over the Summer break, chances are you will need lots of ideas to entertain everyone. From the escarpment to the coast, Shellharbour City has lots of wonderful places to visit, things to see and do, that don’t cost a thing.

Top 3 Playgrounds: 

• Little Park in Shellharbour Village – Grab some fish’n’chips on the grass while your young kids have a play on the park. Bring your swimmers and have a paddle in the harbour too. 
• Red Lamp Park on Reddall Parade, Lake Illawarra – From teens to toddlers, this accessible park has it all. A ninja wall, flying fox and lots more… it’s fun for all ages and abilities.  
• Yirran Murru, Shellharbour City – Discover the cultural heritage of our region with this award winning Aboriginal Interpretive Playspace at the Civic Centre, Shellharbour City.

Top 3 Nature Walks: 

• Warilla North Beach Walk to Windang Island - Discover the historic wheels peeking out of the sands. Perfect for IG. 
• Macquarie Pass National Park – Cascade Falls or Clover Hill Bush Walks are beautiful, easy walks from the base of the escarpment. 
• Bass Point Indigenous Cultural Walk – A self-guided walk with historical significance. Read the interpretive signage along the way.
