Release

Shellharbour City Council is thrilled to announce the 2019 Hidden Forest line-up!

As part of Surf and Skate Festival, Hidden Forest is bringing a carefully crafted medley of local and national musicians to the beautiful Shellharbour City, for the ultimate summer escape.

To kick-start Hidden Forest into its first year The Beautiful Girls will be headlining with their roots, folk-inflected pop, alongside three-piece, indie rock royalty The Grates.

Taking cues from the likes of Wold Alice and The Pixies, Triple J unearthed winners, Moaning Lisa will also be taking the stage. As well as Sydney band Erthlings, with their dreamy indie-pop sound, and Benny Walker with his guitar-driven blues and roots mix.

Finally, we have Illawarra locals Pacific Avenue and Lemon Row.  Gerringong alternative rock quartet Pacific Avenue formed in 2017 and have already played alongside established acts such as Tash Sultana, Ocean Alley and the Wombats. They will be rolling out some major summertime feelings alongside fellow South Coast indie surf rock duo, Lemon Row.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said that she was excited to have such a talented mixture of artists set to perform.

“Inspired by the region’s rich surfing culture, Hidden Forest will showcase some of our most beautiful natural areas. It is a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together, attract new visitors and further enhance our city’s culture,” Cr Saliba said

As well as a line-up that will see you grooving into the night, Hidden Forest will provide festival-goers with a full day experience of delicious food, craft beer and fine wine, and handcrafted markets.

Early bird tickets are now on sale starting at $39 (plus booking fees). So, start gathering a group of mates - Hidden Forest is bound to be the biggest highlight of your summer!

Hidden Forest is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
