Release

After the success of the inaugural Hidden Forest event in 2019, Shellharbour City Council is thrilled to announce the festival will make a return for 2021!

The all age’s music event will be held Saturday 25 September and will be nestled within the magical Blackbutt Forest Reserve.

Back bigger than ever, get ready to rock amongst the gum trees into the night with Melbourne alternative rock three piece, Something for Kate set to take the stage for their long awaited return.

Formed in 1994, Something for Kate continue to keep us on our toes with fiercely original and challenging records. The band are heading towards sales close to a million records in Australia alone and have toured with everyone from Death Cab for Cutie to David Bowie, playing many major festivals along the way.

Hidden Forest will once again bring together a carefully curated mix of local and national artists, alongside high-quality local food and beverages, as well as handmade stalls. The stunning location of Blackbutt Forest provides opportunity for friends to reconnect in a safe, open, natural venue.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba said that the Hidden Forest was a truly unique live music event.

“Hidden Forest is an exciting all-day experience, perfect for spring. You can settle in with loved ones to unwind and simply enjoy the beautiful surrounds, local goods and music on offer,” Cr Saliba said.
