LOVE IS IN THE AIR IN SHELLHARBOUR

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, Shellharbour City Council invites the community to join in on the love this week.

Quoting the Beatles, Shellharbour Mayor Chris Homer shared a simple yet timeless message:

“All you need is Love!,” Mayor Homer said.

Friday 14 February is also Library Lovers’ Day, celebrated worldwide to honour libraries, book lovers, and lovers of libraries.

Visit any one of our Shellharbour City Libraries to check out what’s on offer. Get swept off your feet by taking part in the “Blind Date with a Book” activity. Or share your love for your local library by adding a heartfelt message to the display.

For an extra sweet treat, join us at City Library on 14 February from 10:30am – 12pm for a delicious Library Lovers’ Day cake in the foyer.

Putt your heart into it

For couples looking for a relaxed and playful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, The Links Shell Cove is offering a special 2-for-1 deal on their Shanx Mini Golf course. This scaled-down course provides a fun challenge for all skill levels, making it an ideal activity for a date night.

Couples can play all nine holes for just $16 while enjoying a cocktail or beer. Bookings are available until 8:15pm, leaving plenty of time for a delicious meal at The Tavern at The Links.

Pack a picnic for two and take a romantic walk through some of Shellharbour’s most scenic spots.

Enjoy the Clover Hill Trail, a lush rainforest walk leading to Rainbow Falls. For breathtaking beach views, take a leisurely stroll from Killalea Regional Park to Mystics (Minnamurra Beach). Or, for a mix of art and nature, explore the Lake Illawarra Art Trail featuring local artworks highlighting history, Aboriginal Heritage, and the region’s flora and fauna.
