Shellharbour City Council’s event funding round for the 2021/2022 financial year is now open and local businesses and community groups are encouraged to apply.

Council provides funding under its Sponsorship Policy to assist with local community events and arts-based activities.

The funding contributes to the development of existing events and expansion of the range and diversity of events on offer to maximise economic and social benefits for the city.

Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba encouraged the community to submit an application.

“Events bring people from across the community together, as well as attract visitors and tourists, to celebrate, learn and connect,” Cr Saliba said.

“The event sponsorship program provides opportunities for organisations, groups or individuals to bring their creative ideas to life, while maximising Shellarbour’s beautiful landscapes and variety of public spaces,” she said.

Submissions close Friday 23 April, 2021.
