Release

Shellharbour City Libraries will bring the best of the Sydney Writers’ Festival to Shellharbour next week, with headline events being live-streamed to Shellharbour Civic Centre on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May.

The Sydney Writers’ Festival is one of Australia’s most loved forums for literature, ideas and storytelling. There will be conversations, debates and discussions among some of the world’s best writers and thinkers, including Art Spiegelman, Michelle de Krester, Christos Tsiolkas, Liane Moriarty and more.

The audience will be able to participate in live Q&A sessions by sending questions straight to the Sydney stage.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said the sessions were a great way to be part of this world-class festival without having to travel to Sydney.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this livestreamed event to our community here in Shellharbour,” Mayor Homer said.

“This is a free event and a great opportunity to make friends, hear from your favourite authors and talk about books,” he said.
