Shellharbour City Library will host beloved Australian author and social commentator Hugh Mackay on Monday 20 March for a chat about his powerful and poignant new novel – The Therapist.

Mackay’s novel peeks inside the therapist’s office to discover a story of deception, lust and love and explore the deepest yearnings of the human heart.
Hugh Mackay is a hugely successful author of over 22 books. He has had a 60 year career in social research, was a weekly newspaper columnist for over 25 years, and is described as the man who “explains ourselves to ourselves”.

Shellharbour City Council CEO Mike Archer said it was wonderful that the library was able to host great community events such as author talks.
