Release

Dust off your boots, Shellharbour Rocks is rolling into Albion Park Showground on Saturday 8 October for a country and blues festival experience the whole family will enjoy.

The FREE festival will feature an abundance of fun across the day, with a line-up of local and nationally recognised country and blues musicians, artisan market stalls, mouth-watering food, and family-friendly activities.

We are thrilled to announce the headline act as 13-time Golden Guitar Award winner, Luke O’Shea. Known for his storytelling and powerful live shows, Luke has a unique yet distinctly Australian sound.

Alongside Luke on the main stage, get your soulful fix of cowgirl blues with Lady Lyon, be transported all the way to New Orleans with the contagious rhythms of Horse Drawn Cadillac, and catch Illawarra indie-folk legends Kay Proudlove and Jack Rose.

The extensive line-up will flow across four stages, including two intimate and eclectic bars offering craft beer, fine wine and specialty gin, the Chook Shed, and Scouts Honour.

Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer said the festival would reflect the distinct culture and history of Albion Park.

“Inspired by Albion Park’s country village atmosphere and location right at the foot of the beautiful escarpment, Shellharbour Rocks the Park will showcase and celebrate what the town has to offer,” he said.

A free ‘park and ride’ service will be available from Croome Sporting Complex. This event is not BYO and a security bag check will be required as part of the conditions of entry.

Shellharbour City Council has received funding from the Reconnecting Regional NSW Community Events Program to run four unique Shellharbour Rocks events across the city’s town centres.

Shellharbour Rocks is the largest community music and arts festival series Shellharbour City Council has ever produced.
