Join us at the Nursery Open Day this Saturday

Shellharbour City Council’s Nursery will host an open day this Saturday 5 November.

From 8am-1pm, the community is invited to head down and shop local to start their spring sowing, find a green gift for a teacher or a Christmas stocking filler or even add some green to their home with a selection of indoor plants.

Nursery staff will be available on the day to give tips and tricks, and answer any green and gardening questions.

Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer said the Nursery open day was a great opportunity for those who could not get there on weekdays to shop local, and find a green gift for someone this Christmas.

“I highly recommend visiting the nursery if you’re a plant lover, garden enthusiast or even just want to learn some new tips and tricks from the friendly nursery team,” Mayor Homer said.

“The Nursery does a fantastic job providing the community and council with a range of quality native and exotic trees, shrubs, tubestock, fruit plants, potted colour and herbs.

“It’s a great time to shop local and start your own veggie patch, tend to your current shrubs or find a lasting gift for a teacher, colleague or Kris Kringle,” Mayor Homer said.

Shellharbour City Council Nursery is located at 132 Industrial Road, Oak Flats (parking on River Oak Place)
