SUMMER OF FUN AT THE LINK SHELL COVE

As the weather warms up and summer approaches, The Links Shell Cove is gearing up to host a series of exciting events, promising good food and good times for locals and visitors alike.

From Melbourne Cup celebrations and cocktail happy hour, to end of year functions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Jonathon Williams, the newly appointed Manager at The Links Shell Cove, is the driving force behind the new event strategy.

“The Links is already a popular destination for our community, whether they’re looking hit the course, have a meal in The Tavern, or grab coffee and cake from the cafe,” he said.

“By expanding our offerings and events calendar, I really want to see The Links cement itself as a venue where everyone feels welcome – from groups of young people to families or friends looking for a good time.”

The race that stops the nation is even better at The Links. On Tuesday, 5th November, we’re hosting a special Melbourne Cup event featuring a 2-hour drinks package with a delicious selection of hot and cold food, and all the races live and loud on the big screens. Whether you come for the sweeps or just to soak up the atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to celebrate in style. The two-hour food and beverage package is $75pp and bookings are essential.

Friday nights out with family and friends are set to get even better with the on-site cafe and event space, Backyard Brew, launching a cocktail happy hour every Friday from 6-8pm. With classic cocktails for just $12 and select beers for $6, there’s something for everyone. Plus, Il Lago at The Tavern will also be offering $1.50 oysters on Fridays, available in freshly shucked (natural) or special of the day.

As the end of the year draws closer, The Links is excited to offer limited remaining availability for large group bookings, functions, and Christmas parties. We still have a selection of key dates open, including lunch and dinner bookings throughout November and December.

Beyond these prime dates, we will only have availability for smaller group gatherings to celebrate the holiday season with us. Bookings can be made online via The Tavern website or by phone.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said he was pleased to see the venue expanding their offerings.

“The Links Shell Cove is a wonderful venue that offers something for everyone, and these new events only add to the appeal,” he said.

“These events not only offer our community memorable experiences but also attract visitors from outside the area, providing a real boost to local tourism. I’m excited to see people coming together, enjoying everything that The Links and broader Shellharbour region have to offer.”
