TWO LANDMARK APARTMENT COMPLEXES WELCOME THEIR FIRST RESIDENTS AT THE WATERFRONT, SHELL COVE
- Nautilus and Ancora in prime harbourside locations
- Total of 180 new homes delivered across two luxury apartment buildings
SYDNEY, 25 OCTOBER 2024
The luxury apartment buildings Ancora and Nautilus at The Waterfront, Shell Cove have welcomed their first residents after completion within a month of one another.
The landmark harbourside buildings at The Waterfront, Shell Cove, a masterplanned community by Shellharbour City Council, with Frasers Property Australia, comprise 180 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across the two buildings, each offering unbeatable proximity to the Shell Cove Town Centre, Shellharbour Marina and Dining Precinct.
Ancora has 64 low-rise apartments bounded by the new Shellharbour Marina and landscaped wetlands and is located adjacent to the future Shell Cove Crowne Plaza, Illawarra’s first five-star hotel, due to open next year.
Ancora has a harbour-view residents’ infinity pool and direct links from communal spaces to boardwalks to the wetlands and on to the retail and dining precinct.
The distinctive curved absolute harbour-front Nautilus building features 116 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments offering panoramic marina and ocean views, with resort-style facilities including a pool, rooftop terrace and gym.
The Nautilus building is also a recipient of State and National design awards from the Urban Development Institute of Australia (NSW).
Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer extended his congratulations to Frasers Property on the completion of Nautilus and Ancora.
“I’d like to welcome all the new residents to Shell Cove and let them know they have picked a great place to live,” he said. “Frasers Property has done a great job in delivering these buildings to such a high standard while navigating the complexities of what has been a very challenging period for the construction industry.”
Mathew Gulliver, Development Director at Frasers Property Australia, said the opening of the two properties meant an influx of new residents would be able to explore and enjoy the vibrant and supremely-located community.
“These residents arrive to a newly-completed marina and harbour, a thriving retail and dining precinct, established walking paths and boardwalks and a soon-to-be-completed five-star hotel complex. We’re thrilled to welcome them to their new homes,” he said.
Two of those new residents, Jeremy and Trish Fox, are just as thrilled. They moved into their two-bedroom, two-bathroom third floor Nautilus apartment in September.
“It’s our first experience of apartment living and we are absolutely blown away,” Jeremy said, describing Shell Cove as being “like a mini Monaco”.
“There are beautiful walks around the community. Our first weekend we went walking with the dog and the weather was stunning and it was just magic. Everyone on the boardwalk said g’day, the people we met in the hallways and garage were lovely. It’s just the whole vibe of the place — I feel very comfortable here.”
The couple was equally pleased with what was inside their apartment.
“The finishes are beautiful. It just feels first class,” Jeremy said. “I was very impressed. Everything is in the right spot. The design of this place was award-winning, and I think that’s down to the fact everything was so well thought out.”
At Ancora, brother and sister George and Diana Marentis recently moved out of their parents’ nearby Shell Cove house into a two-bedroom, two-bathroom wetlands-view apartment they purchased together, the first time they’ve lived out of home.
George said the change in lifestyle has suited himself and Diana down to the ground. They each have their own bathroom and with their respective jobs as a mechanic and teacher, are generally only at home together late at night.
“We’re both loving the apartment lifestyle,” George said. “We’ve got a little dog so we take him for walks to the marina and the cafés and Woolies is nearby.”
Frasers Property’s next apartment complex at The Waterfront, Shell Cove is Vela, now under construction.
Apartments within the luxury five-storey Candalepas-designed property offer a choice of garden, marina and ocean views. Prices range from $1,775,000 to $2,325,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment and $2,325,000 to $3,300,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.
Vela is directly adjacent to the Shellharbour Marina and features a 15m heated pool overlooking the harbour, gym and communal garden, lounge and dining room for hosting family and friends.
