TWO RARE HAPPY GILMORE PUTTERS UP FOR GRABS IN SHELL COVE!

Shellharbour locals have the chance to swing away with a piece of golfing history as The Links Shell Cove celebrates the release of Happy Gilmore 2 this Friday.

The Links is marking the sequel with two fun competitions that bring a bit of movie magic to the fairway and beyond.  

Whether you’re a golf lover or just someone who still yells “tap it in!” at mini golf, now’s your chance to win a limited edition Happy Gilmore putter – and two are up for grabs right here in Shell Cove. 

Spend & Win - 25 July to 3 August 

From Friday 25 July to Sunday 3 August, customers who spend $10 or more at The Links (excluding Il Lago) can go in the draw to win a Happy Gilmore putter. There’s one entry per customer, per day. The more you visit, the more chances you’ll have to win. 

Second and third prize winners will each take home a dozen Happy Gilmore golf balls, perfect for unleashing your inner Shooter McGavin. 

Nearest to Pin and Putting Competition – 1 to 16 August 

From Friday 1 August to Friday 15 August, you can enter the Nearest to Pin challenge at the practice range. Regardless of your golfing ability, one sweet swing and a bit of luck is all you need. The top 10 participants will qualify for a ‘putt-off’ on Saturday 16 August, where one smooth stroke could land them a Happy Gilmore putter. 

Shellharbour Mayor Chris Homer said the competitions are a great way to bring people together and share a laugh, whether you're a golfer or simply a fan of the iconic film. 

“There is a real sense of nostalgia and excitement around the new movie. These competitions are a fun way for our community to enjoy some friendly rivalry and celebrate something we all recognise and love,” Mayor Homer said. 

“The Links is for everyone. Whether you’re a regular on the green, a first-time visitor or just dropping by for a coffee and a chat, it’s a place to feel welcome.”
