Shellharbour City Council will host an insightful webinar about parenting styles with Australia’s leading parenting expert, Dr Justin Coulson, on Tuesday 21 September. 

The webinar will explore various approaches to parenting both younger and older children. 

Dr Coulson will share his knowledge and specific strategies that parents can use to benefit their families. 

This upcoming event follows two previous webinars with Dr Coulson hosted by Council over the past month. 

Shellharbour Mayor Councillor Marianne Saliba encouraged all parents and carers to register for the webinar and take advantage of this free resource. 

“As a mother, grandmother and foster mother, I have a lot of experience raising children. However, nobody can claim to know everything about parenting. There are things we can learn to help make one of the most challenging jobs in the world that little bit easier,” Cr Saliba said. 

“Parents and carers feel so much pressure these days. We question ourselves constantly and compare ourselves to others in a way that perhaps is not beneficial.  

“This webinar is a wonderful opportunity to get some excellent advice and strategies that might help parents and carers navigate the many options that are available. 

“I am pleased to say that the topic for this upcoming webinar was chosen based on feedback from our two previous webinars with Dr Coulson that were very popular,” Cr Saliba said. 

The webinar will be held from 7pm to 8pm on 21 September.
