Do you know the difference between an alley-oop or an anchor grind? Then we want you!

Shellharbour City Council is seeking input from the community for ideas for a new skate park at two pop-up sessions this week.

The pop-up sessions will be held at:

  • Albion Park skate park, Thursday 30 May, 3.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Shellharbour skate park, Friday 31 May, 3.30pm to 5.30pm

Council will work with the community and consultant COMPLETE Urban Design to come up with a concept design for the proposed new skate park at Harrison Park youth area.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said it was fantastic skate park design experts Skate Sculpture’s Mat de Koning and Tim Yuen would be there to help guide discussion.

“We want to get our community’s feedback to create a skate park that caters to range of skateboarders, scooters and riders,” he said.

“We’d like to encourage people of all ages, all skill levels, and all types of users to come along.”
