GET SIZZLING FOR YOUR COMMUNITY GROUP AT AUSTRALIA DAY BREAKFAST BY THE LAKE
Shellharbour City Council is calling on local community and sporting groups to express their interest in cooking up a barbecue breakfast at Australia Day Breakfast by the Lake at Reddall Reserve on Sunday, 26 January 2025.
The Australia Day Breakfast by the Lake is known for bringing Shellharbour locals and visitors together for a day of reflection, community spirit, and togetherness. The event will include entertainment and various activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to a Council contribution, attendees can buy a sausage sizzle or a bacon and egg roll at bargain prices.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, Council will provide additional support, including an Event Brief and Operational Guide. Whether it’s your first time running a barbecue or you’re a seasoned pro, you’ll have all the help you need.
Community groups will also benefit from an upfront donation from Council and keep 100% of the funds raised on the day.
Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer encouraged local groups to complete their expression of interest, highlighting the opportunity to connect with the community.
“We’d love to see our local community groups getting involved in this iconic event,” he said.
“It’s a great way to raise funds for your group, and enjoy a day filled with community spirit, reflection, and respect.”
Fill out an expression of interest form here or simply search ‘Event Expressions of Interest’ on Shellharbour City Council’s website.
Expressions of interest close on Friday, 29 November 2024.
