Are you planning a community event or activity, or do you have a great idea that would benefit Shellharbour City?

If so, Shellharbour City Council is looking to provide assistance for groups and individuals.

There are 3 categories:
•    Sporting event (sporting event/activity of state or national significance held within the Shellharbour City LGA)
•    Local community event/activity (suburb based - bringing together the whole of the community of that suburb and beyond)
•    City-wide event/activity (an event/activity encompassing the community of the whole of Shellharbour City LGA)

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer encouraged people to apply for before 29 February 2024.

“Our Council has long been committed to providing equitable sponsorship assistance to local individuals or groups organising community events and activities,” Mayor Homer said.

“With current cost of living pressures, it is more important than ever that we support local people with 'big ideas’ that will benefit our community.

“Each year, Council offers financial assistance for community events and activities. Their success helps maximises the economic and social benefits to our entire city,” he said.

Submissions close Thursday 29 February.
