Albion Park Cemetery

Albion Park Cemetery contains recorded burials dating back to 1901 and is managed in accordance with Council's Cemetery Operations Policy and associated procedures.
The cemetery includes a range of burial and memorial options, including lawn, headstone and monument sections, along with niches and approved locations for the interment of ashes.
Burial and memorial options
Granite Wall of Niches
Council has installed three Granite Walls of Niches at Albion Park Cemetery. Ashes are placed within the niche, which is then sealed with a cast bronze plaque of a predetermined size. Each plaque includes a vase for flowers.
Lawn Sections
Lawn sections are available for single or double-depth burials and may also accommodate the placement of ashes with Council approval.
Only approved plaque memorials may be installed. Flowers may be placed in the allocated vase holders. Additional memorials such as rockery gardens, breakable items or other tributes are not permitted.
Headstone Only Sections
Headstone sections allow families to install a headstone memorial without a full monument. Memorials must be constructed by a Council-approved stonemason and comply with Council requirements.
Full Monument Sections
Monument sections allow families to install a full monument memorial. Construction must be undertaken by a Council-approved stonemason and remain within the allocated burial site.
Types of plaques
Plaques provide a lasting memorial for lawn burial plots and ash placement sites. A range of cast bronze and stainless steel plaque options are available.
