Transport for NSW - School Zone Linemarking Project!

The School Zone Infrastructure Sub Program is making it safer for pedestrians on their way to and from school, and when walking within school zones. It is part of the $540 million NSW Federal Road Safety Program.

As part of this fantastic initiaitve, we have installed 40km per hour school zone patches and dragon's teeth across many schools in our Local Government area. This project has been proudly funded by Transport for NSW.

This School Zone Linemarking project includes the following schools:

The purpose of this school zone linemarking project is to:

  • Create safer pedestrian connections for children, their parents and carers and the whole wider school community.
  • Help save lives by reducing car speeds within school zones and giving pedestrians safe route options when walking to and from school.
  • Reduce pedestrian crashes and create safer roads around our local schools.

Check out some of our "Dragon's teeth" installed across some of our local schools!

Dragon's teeth are painted triangles arranged in pairs on each side of a lane or road. They help to make school zones more visible and alert drivers to the 40km/h speed limit.
