About the Project

Design work is underway for a new cycle path along Cove Boulevard in Shell Cove. The path will link the existing shared paths on Shellharbour Road and Harbour Boulevard. Bus stops along the route will also be reviewed for improvements, and new pedestrian crossings are planned at the Southern Cross Boulevard intersection.
 
This project forms part of Route 7 in the Active Transport Strategy. Route 7 is an east-west connection between Shellharbour Village and Shellharbour Junction Station via Shell Cove, commonly used by commuters accessing public transport or nearby shops and services.
 
The project is currently in the design stage, with construction planned once the designs are finalised. When complete, the cycle path will fill gaps in the existing network, making it safer and easier for people to walk, cycle, and catch public transport across the area.
